Our Vision
As a Church we are seeking to become, and make, disciples of Jesus Christ. Discipleship can be expressed as:
- Being with Jesus
- Becoming more like Jesus
- Doing what Jesus did
In the next few years, our priorities in realising our vision are:
- Welcome and Connect – to be a community where people connect with God and with each other
- Young People – to be a church where children and young people are brought to faith and actively contribute to the life and mission of the church
- Ivybridge – to have a worshipping community on the Ivybridge Estate that is part of and serving the needs of the local community
Our History
All Souls is a Church of England parish in the Kensington Episcopal Area of the Diocese of London.
In the 19th century, London was expanding quickly into the suburbs and St Margarets railway station was opened in 1876. A small congregation met in a private house here for some years, as part of All Saints Isleworth parish. The building dates from 1896 when All Souls became its own parish.
The present congregation grew from a fresh “plant” into the church building in 2000. The majority of the team came from our parish neighbours, St. Stephen’s, East Twickenham. Their aim was to bring new life to the parish and to make it, once again, a parish church, serving the local communities in Jesus’ name.
All Souls is now a thriving community made up of people from all ages and backgrounds the majority of whom live locally in the parish.
